Redact Local is an offline redaction tool for medical documents, built for clinic desks and anyone else who cannot let a document leave the room.

It runs on the machine in front of you and never calls a hosted model. Saved names, seventeen data rules and an optional local AI name model find what to cover, and every finding is listed on the page before anything is exported. No upload, no cloud pass, nothing to delete afterwards.

Saved names always redact. You review the sanitized reconstruction before exporting, and every export is validated against the version you reviewed. Bring PDF, images, DOCX, TXT or Markdown (scanned pages need the local OCR pack); take DOCX, Markdown or plain text out, redacted or pseudonymized.

Preview. The Mac and Windows packages are still being qualified, and the hosted browser preview is not open yet. A preview does not establish detector completeness, clinical qualification or legal compliance.
