About these terms

These terms apply to wielder.de and the free apps published on it. Wielder is run by Ralph Theodori, Bergisch Gladbacher Str. 135–137, 51065 Köln, Germany. Email: support@wielder.de. We keep them short and readable on purpose: they say what you may expect from us and what we ask of you, nothing hidden.

The website

You may read, link to and share the pages of wielder.de. The texts, designs, icons, images and code on this site are protected by copyright and belong to Wielder or are used under licence; using them beyond personal viewing and linking needs our permission, unless a licence says otherwise (for example the open-source licences that ship with an app, or the Unsplash licence of the wallpapers).

Please do not misuse the site: no attempts to break in, overload it, scrape it at scale, or send unlawful content through its forms.

The apps

Each app's product page says what it is, which platforms it runs on and what state it is in. Apps marked early access, preview or beta are unfinished: features can change or disappear, and you should keep your own copies of anything important. Each app's own privacy policy, and its terms where it has them, are listed in the trust center.

Free apps are given to you free of charge. Paid apps and subscriptions, where offered, show their price and conditions before you buy, and those conditions apply in addition to these terms. App stores (for example the Chrome Web Store) apply their own terms to downloads made there.

Health and medical tools

Our medical and health tools support the people who provide care. They do not replace professional medical judgement, diagnosis or treatment, and unless a product page explicitly says otherwise, they are not certified medical devices. Always review their output before you rely on it.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and where we have given a guarantee. For free apps and the free use of this website, liability is otherwise limited to intent and gross negligence (§ 521 BGB). Otherwise, for slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper use possible in the first place and on which you may rely), limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of service.

We take care that the information on this site is correct, but it can contain mistakes and can change. Links to other sites lead to content we do not control; we are not responsible for it.

Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live. We may update these terms; the version on this page applies from its date.

We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
